I was half terrified reading about my new region on the homepage before moving to Japan and Shikoku:

”Tokushima: where old Japan meets new Japan.”

The Island is, according to among others the author Haruki Murakami, so cut off from the civilisation that he chooses to send the main character in ”Kafka on the Beach” to Shikoku, wanting a place where no one wouldn’t even think about looking for him.

Now after almost 9 months, driving in to the mountains of Shikoku, I see no reason to be terrified at all…
